(Friday 14th December 2001)

I'm currently fideling with TreePad which now also has a freeware version and appeard to be rather usefull for people who like using tree-like structures to organize text. The only thing I really miss is an internal scripting possibility...

and combined with this:
TreePad Reader - Free download of CGI and Perl scripts
Now you can share this data over the Internet now with an online explorer-style viewer.

Simply upload your TreePad file and visitors can browse your TreePad the way it was meant to be seen: as a tree.

This script allows you to open up whatever HJT files are located in the directory. If you have a family tree file, a journal, some notes all in the same directory then the script prompts you to open the HJT file of your choice. Registered version comes with web online editing capability, searching, password protected nodes, multi-user editing passwords for specific nodes, and unlimited support and updates!

Technical documentation on the structure of the TreePad file format.
