I was thinking about
AudioBlogging in the last days. Streaming MP3 files is cool, but somehow I was never satisfied with the 'extrnal' player setup to listen to them (applies even more to RealMedia)
So my idea was to use a special Flash-Movie that could dynamically load the blog-entry in question. Appears Flash can't load mp3 at runtime directly, you need to convert them to .swf first.
Well here's the tool for it:
Swift MP3
Swift-MP3 is a utility that converts MP3 files into Flash™ files containing pure streaming audio data. It can be used for batch processing or as a CGI program. You can now build your Flash Juke Box! Now I have a question about embeding a Flash-Movie into HTML: is there a way to paas a Parameter to the Movie? I'd like to use one generic Flash-Movie (the Player) to play arbitrary mp3-as-swf files. Can I define something in the HTML? I don't want to this in JS.
