comming soon:
search this site, and esp. the blog-archives
It's a modified
RiSearch engine.
This tool uses an pre-generated index, that can be generated anywhere, on any platform that has Perl and then be uploaded to the server...
Currently there are just a few nags with this approach: the engine I use can't do incremental indices. So it will allways need to scan
the whole thing for one index. No prob for a static site with little change. But for a fast and ever expanding blog-archive this can really slow things down. And those archives don't change either, so re-indexing them is futile anyway...
and I'm also not very happy with the output... no relevant summary... no keyword highlight (that is simple to add)
