AwkiAwki Wiki for small systems
(Monday 16th September 2002)

You still have you old 386/486? That's enough to run your Wiki (and even more). AwkiAwki is written in... guess it, AWK and therefor much faster under such conditions.
The author uses thttpd as webserver which is nearly state of the art und nonforking like Zeus.
As AWK, AwkiAwki and thttpd are also available precompiled for Windows it even might be possible to run everything from a single floppy including DOS.

and from my referer log (?)
AWKhttpd - HTTPD written in AWK

Einen hab ich noch: Awka - Home What is Awka? Awka is an open-source implementation of the AWK programming language.

Awka is not an interpreter like Gawk, Mawk or Nawk, but instead it converts the program to ANSI-C, then compiles this using gcc or a native C compiler to create a binary executable.
