There, almost done. Compare this version to the two below and you'll see what I was talking about below...
As you can see to the left, the drawing has progressed today.
There's still a lot to be done until it is anything near finished, but I think it came along rather well.
A few things are very obvious if you compare this preview with the one I
posted some days ago (yes, it's still the same drawing!). For one is the sometime extreme change in character such a drawing can go through while I'm working on it. Honestly, I'm almost always suprised by that morphing myself. And also you can see very clearly one of the aspects of my working style. I do work more like a sculptor when drawing. Carefully molding pencilstrokes and removing them yet again. Sometimes whole aparts of a drawing are reworked almost 10 times until they finaly find theit right feel. Also typical is the way I put in a complete face right at the beginning, even if I'll remove it again later. The face is the focal point of every character, and gives the whole thing form right from the beginning.
