how to sell a road
(Saturday 19th June 2004)

This little castle I keep on about has on drawback - of course there had to be one...

There's a major road running past right below. You can't see it - theres about 200m worth of trees between - but you can easily hear it when outdoors. Now inside noone will ever notice it. I'm actually very fond of quiet, and even I think that road is not a big deal. It's a constant background sound. One single car speeding past in a very quiet place can be far more distracting than a well driven road. Esp as there is no stop and go, just cars going by.

But my concern is, 'how am I going to sell this to guests?' People coming for seminars might not be very fond of that buzz in the background. And it's more a psychological thing that actual distraction....

So, how am I going to package the road? Simply ignoring it's existance won't be a good strategy.
