seeking the truth - the one we like that is

Many people "seek the truth," and very often others (outsiders, onlookers) will think that the truth the person is seeking... is staring them right in the eye. It often seems so obvious...

Why is it that we keep seeking then? even after we have found a truth?

Maybe it's because the truth we found doesn't suit us. Because we reject it, don't like it, don't *want* it to be true.

Maybe it would be more honest to say "I am seeking for a truth that I like." Rather than insisting that we are see THE truth.
