prose: When Depression Lifts
Gone is the Pain, gone the Wallowing.
She is not sure what finally did the trick...
Was it the process of Grieving?
Are the pills taking Effect?
She understands the What and Why now.
She went through all the Reasons.
And she realized that all the reasons are but Explanations.
Reasons, more like Effects, not the Cause.
What good is Understanding? It doesn't Change anything.
She is feeling Good now. She's of high Spirits and Calm mood.
Almost Happy, although she can't see why.
None of the Reasons are gone. The Cause is still in Effect.
Now that the Darkness of depression lifted...
Where is the new Light?
