a change in style

2005-9-25

Mark B. comments on a change in the style of writing on cooking-related blogs - how writing recepies moves away from the pure How towards the Why and What. He predicts this tendecy will also be seen in tech-writing ina few years. Well - that style is exactly what I prefer in tech-writing already. In others - and also in the way I try to write. I can only cheer this change onwards.

I have always disliked HowTos that do only that: tell me to do This and the That. Click here, choose this and te hit enter. What I always really wanted were texts that told me; We want to achieve this, so we use that, To do this do thusly...
